-Online therapy (also referred to as telehealth or virtual sessions) is provided via a HIPPA-compliant and confidential virtual platform (which I provide). Sessions can also be conducted on the phone at your discretion.
-You will need to have access to a strong internet connection and a webcam for virtual sessions.
-You will receive a link to the online session on the day of your session.
-Please ensure you, your child, or your teen has a private space to meet to maintain confidentiality and protect your privacy.
-
-Unfortunately, no, due to strict licensing laws. I am licensed in Washington State and Colorado and can only meet with you if you physically reside in either of these states.
-What if you live in one of these states and have residency there but go somewhere else for vacation or some other temporary reason? I still cannot meet with you as you need to be physically located in Washington state or Colorado.
-
This depends on your treatment plan, individual needs, and goals of therapy. I often recommend meeting weekly for the first 1-3 months then tapering down to every other week, once a month, then we can reassess and possibly end treatment if you have met treatment goals and feel ready to try things on your own. The goal is to get to a place where you can work through things without my support.
-
This is a very subjective question. The outcome depends on the work you put into therapy. I can offer support, direction, feedback, and appropriate interventions. You must be willing to do the work between sessions by implementing what you learn in sessions, doing the assigned homework, and working towards meeting your goals.
-
-Each session is 53-minutes.
-Should you desire more time, this will be billed at my hourly rate of $250.
-
During your initial intake session, I will conduct a thorough assessment to understand your history, development, relevant medical history, family dynamics, strengths, areas you are needing support, and your goals for therapy. This involves in-depth conversations, questionnaires, and observations to gather a complete picture. I will develop a treatment plan based on this information.
Benefits:
Identify root causes of what’s bringing you to therapy
Set clear, achievable goals
Ensure your needs are being met
-
Based on the assessment, we will engage in regular therapy sessions designed to address your specific needs. These sessions are interactive, solutions-focused, and include evidence-based strategies to ensure effective outcomes.
Benefits:
Receive customized support and guidance
Implement practical solutions for lasting change
Enhance individual well-being

-In the state of Washington, a minor can consent to psychotherapy services without a parent’s consent at the age of 13. This means they are treated like adults. According to Washington State law, once your child turns 13 years old, the therapist needs consent from your teen to speak with you. Parents cannot have access to records the day their teen turns 13 years old.
-In the state of Colorado, a minor can consent to psychotherapy services without a parent’s consent at the age of 12.
- I will strive to involve you in supporting and helping your teen using my best professional judgment. Keep in mind that the content of your teen’s sessions must be kept confidential to enable them to confide in me and work through difficult issues. The biggest factor for successful therapy is a strong and trusting therapist-client bond.
